We are so sorry that for almost an entire day nobody has been able to start a poll. What can we say, we were busy updating other things, and nobody told us ( like it was a bad joke that everybody knew but us ).

Anyways, you can add polls again now, and keep please continue to let us know when you have any problems. We have alot more cool things in store for PollPub in the near future.

Fixed Wierdness with Poll Answers

We are changing things with the site, faster than ever now days. We are adding more and more features to our free polls so just keep creating those polls.

We've fixed a small bug that would occasionally happen where the poll-wizard would double or triple your answers making your poll looks kinda funny.

Sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you. The site has been reworked from the ground up, so a few growing pains are expected.

New Feature, Add Images to Poll Titles!

A much requested wish has been granted. :) You can now add a photo or video to the poll question, making it possible to make polls based on more than text.

Some people have figured out there own way to do this before now, such as adding a photo to the first question, or adding html to the title. Well it's built in now, below is a example.

All Photos Fixed ( Retroactively )

We've fixed all photos ever uploaded to PollPub from various unsupported formats (.bmp, .png, and .gif).

On the same note, PollPub.com now supports all formats of images for Polls (.jpg, .gif, .bmp and .png ). You can use these types of images in your Poll Titles or your poll questions.

Hey everybody!.. Did you think that I forgot about you or something? Never..

I have been really biting my lip not to tell anybody about PollPub.com's upcoming surprise. In about one more week I will let ya'll in on the secret. Stay tuned!

On a lesser note, we updated the code to work 500% faster when returning vote results and charts. Maybe now Digg won't slow our site. :)

We didn't relize that voting was broke for the past week. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We outgrew our database and didn't realize it! We are still doing upgrades, but at least Voting should continue to work while we add new features!

We were HACKED... PollPub is back!

Today, Wednesday, December the 13th - the internet terrorist attacked, and they hacked PollPub.com. I guess they don't like the fact we let people express there opinions. Or maybe they were competition and were just mad.

PollPub personally figured out how to stop the attack. And he vows one thing. He is now getting back to working on the site.

He was busy for a month, doing PollPub kind of stuff. But he is back, and PollPub.com will see a lot of great new MUCH AWAITED changes!

We are back, thanks to the Hacking Haters - Thanks for awaking the PollPub development team.

PollPub.com Releases Audio Polls

Well, one feature just beat our our upcoming Poll Administration features, Audio Polls! Yes, You can now use mp3 audio in your polls. Lets see, Free Polls, Pictures Polls, You Tube Polls and now Audio Polls. This should be great for all your music artist PollPub users out there.

Adding more Poll Admin functionality

You speak, we listen. We have had multiple request for more admin features on PollPub polls. We are in the process of letting you edit, close, delete, and set End dates for your polls. We will let you know the second our updated Poll Administration functions are live!

Fixed browse page

Our browse page was temporarily broke with the release of YouTube Video polls. It is now fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience.

PollPub Releases YouTube Video Polls

You can now add YouTube content easily to your Free PollPub Polls. We finally got this anticipated feature out today! With all the news about YouTube.com this week, we had to release this exciting new feature as soon as possible. We are still doing some testing, and working some small bugs out with Myspace, but below is a example of types of Video Polls that are now available! Please be patient while we work out any kinks in the system, and like always, feedback about any problems you may encounter is so helpful!

No Longer Pollverized!

We fixed a serious problem that occurred when someone created a poll with the exact same title as another poll, the first poll's url was being overwritten. We fixed this problem and to insure that this never happens again we have adopted the following naming convention:

If you make a poll titled:

"Do you like bats?"

Your polls url address will become something like: www.pollpub.com/do-you-like-bats.aspx

If at a future time another PollPub member comes along and makes a poll with the exact same title, their url will have a number added to the end, and will look something like: www.pollpub.com/do-you-like-bats2.aspx

We apologize if you are one of the few people that experienced this problem, and we thank the PollPub member who brought this to our attention.

Tips on Picture Polls

We've had a few questions about picture polls. This post should help clear up common mistakes.

1) Please only use *.jpg and *.gif files. (not *.png at the moment). We are always updating, and will be able to use *.png's soon, but for now stick to the basics.

2) Try not to have spaces in the filename. This too, is being addressed, but not having spaces will guarentee a great picture poll.

3) Have fun! :)

We have fixed problems with the server sometimes timing out when you uploaded 10 or more large photos to your polls. You should have no more problems posting large images so poll away!

PollPub Myspace Picture Polls Fixed!

If you've tried to add your photo poll to a Myspace Page you may have instead saw a cool (..) instead of your photo :). We have fixed this problem, and Polls now work great on Myspace (with or without photos). If you have a poll up and want to correct the code, simply click the embed code in the detailed view of your poll and re-copy it to your website.

We've also moved to a new faster database, and sped things up in general around the site. Continue to send any problems or suggestions for our site, we appreciate it!

Welcome everybody to the first post of "What's up with PollPub", the PollPub development blog. PollPub.com offers the easiest and best polls for Myspace, Blogs and website - and has a great community voting on polls all the time at www.pollpub.com

Thanks for everybody who helped us test the very basic functionality for PollPub.com. Now that our site is taking off - this blog is designed to keep the community in the know about PollPub including new features, problems, and suggestions.

Have you guys noticed the new features we've added these past couple of weeks? Most noticably, we've got Photo Polls up and running (and they must of been needed because 1 out of every 2 polls now use photos). You can now view results with a pie graph or bar graph. We've added commments, poll embed codes, ratings and much more to your poll pages. We are almost rolling out a new feature every 2 days so please be patient with us. We are doing our best to keep our site up during our upgrades, and new developments.

We have alot more features we plan to add soon, so please continue supporting us (by adding great polls to our site, and yours) - and we will continue the race to offer the best Free Poll service on the internet.
